A TUNE

musicalflops:

Angela Lansbury sings “When I’m Drunk I’m Beautiful” from the musical “Prettybelle”. The show played a Pre-Broadway run in Boston in February of 1971, however it never made it to Broadway, much to the relief of its star, Angela Lansbury. The show was filled with vulgar themes such as alcoholism, rape and death and was obviously not a hit with the audiences which ultimately spelled its fate. Over 10 years later, most of the original cast was gathered together once again to record a cast recording of the show.
